Cryolipolysis is the most modern and highly effective method for permanent removal of deposited fat. This treatment is known as the Cool Sculpting Treatment, due to the method it is based on: cryo – cold, lipolysis – chemical breakdown of fat cells. Fat is locally cooled at a precisely defined temperature (determined by the therapist), within 40 to 60 minutes. During the treatment, fat cells crystallize and decompose. In the subcutaneous adipose tissue, cells die from hypothermia, and they are later discharged through the lymphatic system in a period between 3 to 8 weeks. Each treatment removes 25% of the local fat tissue. Hypothermic stimulation accelerates skin tissue metabolism and thus creates a highly elastic collagen. This process creates special transmitters that simultaneously cause secretion and cooling, which relaxes the nervous system and muscles. The results are smooth and tight skin. Cryolipolysis is not eliminating body fluids necessary for the organism, but only the excess fat in the area of abdomen, waist, back and thighs.

The treatment starts by determining the areas to be treated. One treatment can treat one or two critical areas, such as: the lower abdomen, upper abdomen or thighs (each leg separately), hips, back, hands, knees, calves of the legs, etc.

The area with excess fat is treated with a vacuum applicator device, placed between two metal plates, cooling the treated area to 0°C.

Before treatment, the skin is protected by a special membrane with antifreeze. It must be used to avoid the occurrence of skin edema. Surrounding tissues are not affected by the treatment. Fat cells are extremely sensitive to cold, and the device freezes the cells in area that is cooled, i.e. it has localized effect on the selected area. The vacuum applicator causes increased blood flow within that skin area, thus the cooling effect is not felt all over the body. This method is completely painless.

The slight swelling and redness which occur during the treatment disappear within a few hours. The procedure can be repeated on the same area after the third week. But such treatments can be done to other skin areas in the meantime.

Results would be even better if the treatment is combined with other techniques, such as radiofrequency, lymphatic drainage, vacuum cavitation, LPG treatment, massages, etc.
